A. When are taxes due? 

Summer tax bills are mailed at the end of June and are due September 14 and winter bills are mailed at the end of November and are due February 14.



B. Where can I register to vote?

You can register to vote when you change your driver's license at the Secretary of Sate Office, at the County Clerk's Office, or at the Township Office.



C. Who do I contact if I want to do any building?

Contact the Zoning Administrator via Email, or see the Contact Us page under Zoning Administration for additional contact information.



D. When are clean-up days?

In the past clean-up days have been held each year on the second Saturdays in June and August, from 8 AM to 12 Noon (or until the trucks are full). Watch the Upcoming Events section on the Home page for details each year.



E. How and where do I recycle?

The Township participates with the County for recycling. There are several sites available. See the Benzie County Materials Management (Recycling) page for more information.



F. How can I get more involved with the Township?

There are several committee/boards to inquire about. Planning, Zoning Board of Appeals, Board of Review, Election Inspectors, Park Attendants. Contact the Township Clerk for more information. (See the Contact Us pagefor contact information.)



G. If I buy property, how are the taxes effected?

The taxable value would go to the State Equalized Value for the year after the sale. Then it would be capped at the Consumer Price Index figure for the following years. For more information contact the Township Assessor. (See the Contact Us page for contact information.)



H. If I move, who do I need to contact?

Any change of addresses should be sent to the Treasurer, Clerk, and Assessor. (See the Contact Us page for contact information.)
